Sparshu's 1st Birthday

Dear Sparshu,

I am writing this after quite a while. I will try to cover up as much as possible on this very special and auspicious occasion of your 1st Happy Birthday. I was going through #Mamulogs and what I have written till now. The joyous moment when you were born, the happiness when you first came home, your first month birth anniversary  and your fourth month birth anniversary.  It felt great to know that time has flown so fast, you are one year old now, and you will just keep growing, I feel sad I am not there with you but believe me my best wishes, and blessings are always with you.

I have earlier quoted about Abraham Lincoln, and also given you some lessons in life which I have learnt through my own life. I remember when I was growing up, many times I did not get what I wanted, many times I was not happy with my parents not allowing me few things, but as I see it now, it was all for my own good. What I am today, I owe a lot to my parents, my sister (your mom) and my jiju (your dad). What I am trying to tell you is sometimes you may not be happy with some things, but always remember, whatever your parents decide is for your own good. You may feel bad for time being, but when you grow up you would realize and be thankful to them.

You would be going to school, college, and eventually working. You would meet a lot of people, and encounter a lot of situations, where you may have to decide between 2 or more options. I have faced this a lot, and everyone faces this. Always remember to live by your principles, a man is defined by his principles, always choose the right path. There is no shortcut to success. There is no thing like free breakfast. Remember, life is 10% situation and 90% how you react to them. So, think before you take any decision, take guidance and advice from parents and your good friends if you need it. Never be afraid of failure, be afraid of not trying, and live a life without regrets, make every moment count. Finally count life in your years and not years in your life!

I am sure you would have a wonderful birthday party. Along with this letter, I am also attaching a card I prepared for you, I wish you all the happiness and health in the world...God Bless!

Yours lovingly,
Mamu!
